Having been raised as a ‘Roman Catholic’ myself (what my Mom told me to put a check mark next to on forms: Religion), this little clip rings true. Are intake forms even allowed to ask that any more? I’m thinking not. I say ‘raised as,’ but even as a little person, I fully understood the hypocrisy of sending your kids to church without you, the role model and parental unit.
My sister and I were the only ones still young enough to be told what to do, and Mom would give us some change for the collection basket and send us off to church. We would take the pathway that ran through the very large park down the street from our house, and that 1.3 mile walk to school/church seemed really far as a little kid.
Having been set loose on another fine Sunday, and with change in our pockets, we walked right past the church on down to the deli, another half mile up the road. Neither of us carried even a single molecule of guilt over spending what we fully considered to be our own money on candy. Now that I know better…I still don’t feel bad.
Anyway…
I’m trusting that it won’t be upsetting to anyone to suggest that we don’t need to go through a priest to get to God…
The bad guys have used draconian programming on us for a very long time. Distorting universal law and creating an illusion that we need a spiritual authority figure over us. Return of the divinity of the human race means we break the illusions of division and learn we can all connect to source. Nobody is less than and nobody is greater than in the eyes of the higher beings and benevolent extra terrestrials.
